Are You Free November 30 to December 2, 2012? Come to the Frequent Traveler University in LA!
If you don’t have anything planned for the weekend of November 30 – December 2 and/or live close enough to LAX (Los Angeles International Airport), I have a suggestion for you.
The Frequent Traveler University (FTU) is going to be held at the Sheraton Gateway LAX, with a holiday party kicking off at 5:30pm on Friday, November 30, 2012 and the last session concluding around 4pm on Sunday, December 2, 2012.
This event is organized by a small group of miles and points pioneers who co-founded MilePoint. As of this writing, this upcoming FTU event is already 70% sold (6 days after the initial announcement), so hurry if you’d like to register.
- Registration (not cancellable but transferable) is $99, which includes access to the party and all sessions, lunches on Saturday and Sunday, and a Starbucks gift card (gift from Million Mile Secrets).
- Hotel rooms can be booked at the conference nightly rate of $105 (~$121 after tax), and are cancellable until 6pm on the day of arrival.
Many of the miles & points experts, including Randy Petersen, View from the Wing, One Mile at a Time, Million Mile Secrets, the Cranky Flier, the Wandering Aramean, will be speaking at the event.
This will be the first time TravelWhimsy and I attend a get-together like this (well, I just registered for her before telling her first). After our recent meetings with Mr. and Mrs. Million Mile Secrets and Scottrick and Megan from Hack My Trip, we feel confident that it will be a lot of fun getting to meet new friends who share the same interest and hobby.
Hope to meet many of you there!
Let me know what you think! I respond to all comments.
